Lady Tors Capture Fourth Place in District Match

The Ball High Lady Tors came in 4th place in the District 22-5A Girls Golf Championships Tuesday by shooting a team score of 902 (458-444). Friendswood won the district championship with a score of 698 (362-336).

The Crosby Cougars earned 2nd place with a score of 852 (424-428). The Mustangs and Cougars both qualified for the UIL Region III-5A Girls Golf Championships in Montgomery at La Torretta Golf and Resort on April 22nd-23rd.  Qingyang Li of Friendswood and America Moya of Texas City also qualified as individuals.

Makenzy Kleinecke led the Lady Tors by shooting a score of 217 (111-106) (T13th) followed by Brooke Hopkins – 223 (110-113) (16th); Gia Viggiano – 228 (115-113) (17th) and Elizabeth Donlon – 234 (122-112) (20th).

Kleinecke, Hopkins, Viggiano and Donlon all made 2nd Team All-District. Congratulations to another successful season for the Lady Tor golf team!
