In a game that saw the lead change hands four times, the Ball High baseball team came from behind twice to ease past Friendswood 4-3 Friday afternoon at Tor Field. The win keeps the Tors (10-4-2, 4-1) a half-game back of Santa Fe for first place in the 22-5A district.

Senior right-hander Chris Orton started the game for the Tors and pitched four innings of two hit ball. Head Coach Russell Ferrell gave the ball to sophomore right-hander Ryan Blacketer in the fifth with the Tors holding a 2-1 lead.

The Mustangs roughed Blacketer up with three hits and two runs before Ferrell replaced Blacketer with senior right-hander Trent Lawrence. Lawrence shut down the Mustang offense and in the bottom of the sixth the Tors rallied for two runs to take the lead. Lawrence set the Mustangs down in order in the top of the sixth to claim the win.

Senior Spencer Addison led the Tor hitters with a 3-3 day and an RBI, slicing three singles through the Mustang infield. The win moved the Tors to 3-1 in District 22-5A.
