Mr. Cox’s Government classes enjoyed a Special Project regarding the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment. The students picked a topic meaningful to the student and then created  a “Political Issue Bumper Sticker”.  Each student created his/her own bumper sticker to voice their opinion about the issue important to the student. The student-made bumper stickers can be seen in the hallway wall opposite Mr. Cox’s room 2009.

When asked about noteworthy item during the lesson, Mr. Cox stated, “[I] enjoyed seeing the variety of issues and opinion [they] designed”, but he went to state that “[he] hoped their actions in the project expressed their understanding and importance of the First Amendment.

This project complements Mr. Cox’s earlier judiciary project and is another example of Mr. Cox  bringing government to life for his students.
