Lady Tors Open Playoffs with a Win

The Lady Tors (14-14, 9-5) started slowly, trailed by three at the half, and then came on like gang busters to grab a 36-28 lead at the end of three quarters.

All-district starter senior Bebe Galloway led the charge, the 6’1” power forward scored 24 points, snared 12 rebounds to go with three block shots. Teammate senior Ari Smith contributed steady leadership for her younger teammates during crunch time as well as contributing ten points and five rebounds.

“I feel like our defense really opens up our offense,” Ball High head coach Amanda King said. “The more intense we are on defense, the more we talk, the more we work together, the more it just opens up our offense — especially when it’s a team we can run against.”

The Lady Tors continue their playoff push Friday against Shadow Creek (30-4, 12-3), a 98-20 winner of Austin High School
