Truly Therapy?

Conversion therapy is a way of trying to change an individual’s sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual using psychological or spiritual intervention. Medical, scientific and government organizations in the United States and United Kingdom have expressed concern over the validity, efficacy and ethics of conversion therapy.  Various jurisdictions around the world have passed laws against conversion therapy. This is just a way we’re the will mentally try to make you straight.

The highest-profile advocates of conversion therapy today tend to be fundamentalist Christian group s and other organization which use religious justification for the therapy rather than speaking of homosexuality as ¨ a disease¨. The main organization advocating for conversion therapy is the National Association for research & Therapy of Homosexuality, which , although notionally secular, often partners with religious groups. More recent clinical techniques used in the united states have been limited to counseling, visualization, social skills training, psychoanalytic therapy and spiritual intervention such as ¨ prayer and group support and pressure, though there are reports of aversive treatments through unlicensed practice as late as the early 2000s. Conversion therapy, it is said, it does more bad than actually help some one.
